Update on Off-Road Bikes/Nuisance Bikes Where You Live

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding off-road bikes/nuisance bikes - i.e motorbikes, e-bikes, scooters and other off-road vehicle issues, which people where you live are highlighting as an issue of concern in their survey responses.

PC 903 Ditchburn and PCSO 7707 Evans from Ferryhill Neighbourhood Policing Team seized two off road bikes from the Ferryhill area yesterday. Both bikes are in a dangerous condition and both are suspected to be stolen.

We are continuing to act on community intelligence to tackle the anti-social behaviour caused by the riding of these vehicles where you live. This involves targeted patrols by the Neighbourhood Policing Team and Off Road Bike Team, as well as using a drone to monitor where the bikes are riding and where they are being stored.
